Coloring Book Pages for The Sun Jumped Over the Moon
The book reading at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library in Midland, MI was so much fun!!!! I was requested to do an activity for the children after the reading. After doing a survey with the little one’s in my life of what would be a good activity, it was decided to do coloring book pages. Everyone likes to color, I was told.
Each character in the book now has their own coloring page.
After each reading I always ask each child what character they liked the most to give them the chance to talk about the book and why they liked their chosen character. It’s always so entertaining to hear the many different stories. Especially when the Big Dark Cloud is picked as a favorite.
Actually, my God Daughter, Amanda, recently did a book reading for her 7 year old daughter’s 2nd grade class. While the kids were coloring their pages, a little girl came up to her and asked if she could take a page home to her little brother. She wanted the Big Dark Cloud because he is mean. Anything goes out of the mouths of babes.
The coloring activity was a huge hit. I am now adding the pages to every book order at no additional cost.
Who knew this book would be so much fun, not only for the kids, but for me as well.
I love retirement!!!!
Until Next Week!
