A small-town Midwestern girl from Saginaw, Michigan, Kathy was always shy and introverted. That is, until she discovered deep-sea fishing in the mid-1990s. Soon she was learning the ropes, fishing for marlins, sailfish and tuna, and making fast friends with the crew. She had discovered her passion. She traveled to stunning tropical locations and experienced the kinds of legendary adventures worthy of a fisherman’s tale.

Her own nautical voyages and long hours spent listening to many captains’ stories inspired her to chronicle them in her first novel, Bella Sueños.

Besides writing, Kathy’s other passions include painting and developing charity events that benefit local children’s organizations. She has worked more than 40 years in sales and marketing for various organizations.

Kathy has lived in Pompano Beach, Florida, for over 17 years and continues to write what she knows: fishing.
