A Little (and for some of us A Lot) of Help From Our Friends

Keeping with the theme of the book THE SUN JUMPED OVER THE MOON, I wanted to share a story about a couple of ladies who have helped me with my social media, a necessary part of being a writer. And as some of you know, I am completely incompetent with anything that requires computer skills on any type of device. I am a Little House on the Prairie kind of girl.

I first met Megan Kehoe when she helped me with a local charity fundraising event. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail was contagious. Her talent for coming up with unique ideas was so much fun.

Following her on Facebook, I discovered she started her own bakery business, FAITH, HOPE, & LOVE HOMESTEAD KITCHEN. She creates amazing distinctive goodness with her baked goods. I gave boxes of her creations as Christmas presents and EVERYONE loved them, both the deliciousness and the presentation of each item.

Then I discovered she also has the smarts with all things websites and social media, her second start up company. She jumped in and cleaned up and brought back to life my webpage. Through her, I discovered there are so many working parts with this page. Check it out, especially the calendar for all upcoming events and the blog.

She has the patience of a saint working with me, explaining all the amazing things the site has to offer. Her endless great ideas for postings are so imaginative and exciting. And her marketing ideas are endless.

Then there is the awesome McKenna Hunt, a college freshman who is the daughter of a friend of mine who has implemented and/or updated, creates and manages my social media sites, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You are my hero!!!

Even though I find all of this social media stuff a great wonderment, I am so grateful for the talent of these young ladies and for helping to manage this part of my business so that I can stay in the Little House on the Prairie mindset and get to stick with what I love to do - write.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Ladies. Sending Hugs to you both.
